Product Appearance & Handmade Characteristics
We make every reasonable effort to display our products accurately.
However, colors may appear differently depending on your screen, device, lighting, and photography.
Because many hats are hand-shaped, distressed, burned, branded, embellished, or otherwise individually finished, slight variations are part of the character of the piece and should not necessarily be considered defects.
Natural materials such as wool, fur felt, straw, leather, feathers, beads, stones, vintage textiles, and other decorative elements may also contain natural variations in color, texture, shape, or appearance.
These characteristics contribute to the individuality of a Gaston Hattery creation.
Custom Hat Orders
Custom hats are created using information and preferences provided by the customer.
You may be asked to provide information including:
Customers are responsible for providing measurements and other information as accurately as possible.
Because fit preferences vary from person to person, measurements serve as a guide and do not guarantee that every hat will feel identical to another hat of the same stated size.
We may contact you for clarification before beginning or completing a custom design.
Custom work is inherently interpretive. Inspiration photographs and reference images may be used to communicate a desired style or feeling, but a custom Gaston Hattery creation may not be an exact reproduction of another hat or another designer’s work.
Any cancellation, return, exchange, or refund rights applicable to custom orders are governed by our current Returns & Refunds Policy and any terms communicated to you before the custom order is placed.
Customer-Supplied Materials & Personal Items
In some circumstances, a customer may ask Gaston Hattery to incorporate a personally owned, vintage, sentimental, or other customer-supplied item into a hat design.
Because older, vintage, delicate, or previously used materials may have hidden weaknesses or deterioration, Gaston Hattery cannot guarantee that every customer-supplied item can be altered, attached, removed, or incorporated without risk of damage.
We will use reasonable care when handling customer-supplied materials.
Hat Shaping & Reshaping Services
Hat shaping and reshaping depend on the material, construction, age, condition, previous treatment, and existing shape of the hat.
Not every hat can safely achieve every requested shape. Older hats, damaged hats, heavily worn hats, hats previously exposed to excessive heat or moisture, and certain materials may respond differently to steam and reshaping.
Gaston Hattery will use professional judgment when evaluating a hat and may recommend against a particular shaping request if we believe it could damage the hat or produce an unsatisfactory result.
While we strive to achieve the requested appearance, we cannot guarantee that an existing hat can be restored to its original condition or reshaped into every desired style.
Hat Cleaning & Care
Any cleaning, maintenance, shaping, or care information provided on GastonHattery.com is intended as general guidance.
Different hat materials and constructions may react differently to water, steam, cleaning products, heat, brushing, and other care methods.
Customers should use appropriate care and judgment when maintaining their hats. When uncertain about cleaning or reshaping a valuable or sentimental hat, professional evaluation is recommended.
Hat Bar Experiences & Events
Gaston Hattery may provide Hat Bar experiences at private events, pop-ups, markets, corporate events, celebrations, and other locations.
Event-specific details—including pricing, deposits, minimum participation, travel requirements, cancellation policies, rescheduling, setup requirements, and other terms—may be provided separately as part of an event proposal, invoice, booking agreement, or confirmation.
If event-specific written terms conflict with these general Terms & Conditions, the event-specific terms will control for that booking.
Prices & Payments
Prices are displayed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time. A price change will not affect a completed order that we have already accepted, except where correction is necessary because of an obvious pricing or technical error.
Applicable sales tax, shipping charges, delivery charges, customization charges, or other fees may be added when appropriate and disclosed during checkout, invoicing, or the ordering process.

Pricing Errors
